Mr Kumar Subramani, LLM. Managing Director, Solicitor & Advocate, Accredited Mediator
Kumar is a founding director/partner of the firm and heads the property & corporate immigration departments. He has a wealth of experience in all aspects of residential and commercial property as well as corporate immigration work. Put simply, whether you need an efficient and proactive service on buying or selling a property or have a complex property transaction, Kumar has the experience and understanding of client needs to get the job done right whilst ensuring a high quality service. Kumar has also gained significant experience in acting for entrepreneurs and start-up companies advising them on all aspects of company law. Kumar prides himself on providing clients with solid practical advice and has a strong reputation for advising from a commercial viewpoint.
His clients include multinational companies, startups, public and private companies as well as high net worth individuals. He has significant experience in joint ventures, shareholders agreements, and outsourcing law.
He is an Accredited Mediator from London School of Mediation and is authorised to conduct mediation in the United Kingdom and Abroad.
Kumar has a Masters Degree in Law (International Trade Law) from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and is also a qualified Advocate from India having practised in that jurisdiction for 5 years on all aspects of Company Law, Civil & Commercial litigation.
Kumar is married with two young children, an avid IPL fan and is a keen badminton player.

Mr Areef Patel, LLB. Solicitor
Areef qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and is a founding member of the law firm. He has wide experience in dealing with commercial and residential property transactions and the financing of property both for lenders and borrowers, including development finance and certain types of specialist structured finance. He also deals with commercial leases, landlord and tenant matters, site acquisitions and disposals, investments, joint ventures, incorporated and unincorporated business acquisitions, portfolio sales and purchases, insolvency, restructuring and banking recovery transactions. His clients include investors, developers, occupiers, LPA and administrative receivers, charities and financiers based in the UK and overseas.
Areef takes a practical and commercial approach whilst paying attention to detail and speaks Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu fluently.

Mr Ashok Sundaram, LLM. Solicitor & Advocate
Ashok is a Solicitor and holds a Master degree in Law from Robert Gordon University, Scotland with specialisation in International Commercial Law.
Ashok’s expertise covers all aspects of corporate immigration law including applications under various tiers of the under newly implemented Points-Based System, entry clearance applications, family based visa application, Residence Permits for European Union & European Economic Area nationals, bail applications and appeal against the removal directions based on Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights. He has a wide range of experience on all the Immigration appeal proceedings at First-Tier & Upper Tribunals. He also advises on complex EEC-Turkey Association Agreements for Turkish Nationals. His expertise extends to matters relating Licensing laws, Traffic offences and Claim for possession of the properties at County Courts.
He has firsthand experience & expertise in protecting client’s Intellectual property rights, filing applications with UK IPO, European (OHIM) and WIPO and enforcing clients’ Intellectual Property rights against infringers.
Ashok is dual qualified having qualified as an Advocate in India and practised in that jurisdiction for 3 years both on Contentious & Non- Contentious matters.

Mr Muthupandi Ganesan, LLM. Barrister-at-Law (Lincolns Inn).
Pandi is a Barrister-at-Law (called to the Bar by Lincolns Inn in October 2003), who used to practise from Furnival Chambers from the City of London.
He is highly experienced in dealing with POCA proceedings and is now regularly instructed as a ‘fresh counsel’ (separate from trial counsel) specifically to deal with ‘confiscation proceedings’ for defendants as well as for ‘interested parties’ especially under VHCC regime.
As a result, Pandi is able to advise and represent in complex and document heavy confiscation proceedings, which require expert advice on the applicability of crime lifestyle’ provisions, challenging ‘hidden assets’ and forensic accountancy.
He has significant insight, knowledge and experience of prosecutions by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Serious Fraud Office, as during 2008 and 2009 he undertook secondments at the former Financial Services Authority (Enforcement Division) for 10 months and the Serious Fraud Office acting an ‘independent counsel’ on numerous large scale cases. This gives Pandi the edge and the ability to deal with large scale fraud / regulatory cases.
Pandi has a young family, an avid traveller and follows Surrey Cricket Club.

Ms Ludmilla Iyavoo, LLB. Solicitor
Milla is a Qualified Solicitor who read English and French at the University of Westminster, London and then went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law.
She runs the civil and commercial litigation department at KTS Legal and advises businesses and individuals on a wide range of matters covering contractual disputes, property litigation, employment law, landlord and tenant disputes, insurance law, debt recovery and family law.
In Employment law, she has experience representing employers and employees in unfair dismissal, breach of contract and discrimination claims. She is also able to advise businesses on how best to deal with disputes with their employees and on the best options to follow to avoid expensive litigation. She also has advocacy experience having conducted several case management discussions at the employment tribunal.
Milla has experience in issuing and defending claims at Court in matters relating to commercial and property litigation. She often represents commercial landlords or tenants involved in leasehold or breach of contract disputes. Her knowledge of the civil litigation rules enable her to handle cases from start to finish with great confidence.
She acts for several landlords and tenants in residential possession claims. She acts for individuals whose property has fallen into disrepair and has a good knowledge of claims falling within the ambit of then housing Act 2004. She also undertakes her own advocacy in interim applications and possession claims hearing at the County Court. She also handles several general litigation claims ranging from insurance matters to more complex money claims.
She is well known to be very attentive to clients and business needs and having an analytical approach to instructions, she always seek to provide sensible advice to lay clients.
She is passionate about law and on current developments that affect both businesses and individuals. For this reason she is also a legal columnist and contributes regularly for a newspaper on recent changes of law. Milla is a French native speaker and studied French law in Paris.
During her spare time, Milla travels as much as she can and has a particular interest travelling to Europe, she also attends dance classes and enjoy going to theatre.

Ms Sonia Robinson, LLB. Conveyancing Assistant
Sonia started her legal profession in the legal department of the Department of Social Security and later as a Senior Housing & Rent Recovery Manager with the London Borough of Hackney, in their Housing & Legal Department. She graduated with a LLB (Hons) in Law at Birkbeck College, University of London, followed by the Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the BBP School of Law in Holborn London. She also took a specialist post graduate diploma in Sports Law at Kings College, University of London in 1999.
Aside from Commercial and Residential property transactions, Sonia has also practiced in Employment, Family, Residential Landlord & Tenant Law, together with Wills & Probate Law. Sonia takes a keen interest in political and current affairs, reading Shakespearian, Elizabethan and post-World War I & II literature and enjoys period dramas. She is also a qualified Lecturer of English literacy and Law in the Higher Education and Longlife Learning Sectors (LLS), Royal Society of Arts (RSA) Fitness Instructor and Hair Stylist, who enjoys participating in athletics, swimming and is a keen Chelsea FC and F1 Grand Prix motor racing supporter.

Mr Mouhamad Sheik, LLB. Solicitor
Mo holds a Graduate degree in Law and has successfully completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. He began his legal work in January 2009 going in to voluntary work and then as a full time case worker dealing mainly with property transactions. He has trained at KTS legal before qualifying as a solicitor in March 2014. He has developed his experience and expertise in the field of Litigation, Probate, Power of Attorney, Section 21 Notices and Statutory Declarations.
He has specialist experience in Immigration and Nationality matters specifically dealing with applications to home office under Tiers 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based system and dealing with Judicial Review cases at the Upper tribunal, Administrative court in the Court of Appeal. He is a fluent French speaker, a keen football player and a die hard Man U supporter.

Ms Ceyda Ilimsen, LLB, Trainee Solicitor
Ceyda graduated from Westminster University in 2011 with an LLB Law Honours degree and thereafter successfully completed the Legal Practice Course in June 2012 at the same institution.
Ceyda joined KTS Legal as a Paralegal and moved on to be a Trainee Solicitor. She is a trainee and currently assists in the property, immigration and family departments. Prior to joining KTS Legal, Ceyda had acquired valuable experience in the areas of criminal and family law. She worked as a paralegal in various law firms in London and had developed strong client care skills. She also had a good understanding of the litigation process having clerked several cases at the County Court. She has a keen interest in both residential and commercial property law.
During her spare time she enjoys swimming, socialising with friends and spending time with her family. She is a fluent Turkish speaker.

Ms Betul Ilkten, Accounts Manager
Betul joined KTS Legal in 2012 and began her job as an Accounts Assistant progressing to Accounts Manager. She has been working together with members of KTS Legal at a firm of solicitors, before she joined KTS Legal when the firm was founded.
Betul is primarily responsible for ensuring the accounts department runs smoothly and efficiently.
When away from the office Betul enjoys spending quality time with her young family, socialising and swimming. Betul also enjoys walking along River Lea and in the Lea Valley Park. She is a fluent Turkish speaker.
