The Care Act 2014 states there is a duty to undertake the safeguarding
of adults where a local authority has reasonable cause to suspect that
an adult in its area has need of care and support, or is experiencing, or
is at risk of, abuse or neglect, and is unable to protect himself or
herself against the abuse or neglect or the risk of it. The need to
safeguard and promote the welfare; along with protecting a vulnerable
subject is paramount and l believe in keeping with the directions in the
Care Act 2014, the health, safety and wellbeing of the subject
outweighs the public interest risk of not sharing this information
